Shelton (Shelley) Wiseman

Shelley has an in depth knowledge of French and Mexican cuisines, and extensive knowledge of many other cooking traditions.


A native of New York and graduate of Cornell University, Shelley has resided in Mexico, France, Brazil and England and travelled extensively on food research trips.


Throughout her career, Shelley has dedicated herself to food and culinary communications—inspiring adults and children to cook through hands-on teaching as well as through magazines, books, radio, video and online media.

Shelley Wiseman is an internationally experienced multi-lingual chef, food editor, teacher, author, and radio host.


She was a Food Editor at Gourmet Magazine for 12 years where she created over 500 original recipes.


JUST TACOS, her upcoming book to be published by Taunton Press, is due in bookstores on October 2011.


The Mexican Gourmet, co-authored by Shelley Wiseman was nominated for a Julie Child cookbook award.
